The clamp has two hooks (2, 3) designed to engage with opposite sides of a vertebra so it can be connected to another by a bar (1) or plate. The hooks are connected by a rod (4) with one end (5) which fixes, in at least one direction, with one of the hooks and engages with an elongated cavity (15) in the other. The second hook (2) has a threaded hole (18) perpendicular to the cavity for a locking screw (17) The elongated cavity for the rod is located in the hook which is designed to receive the connecting bar or plate, while the surface of the rod shank (9) which fits into the cavity can be smooth or milled, grooves or toothed. In addition, the angle of the locking screw (17) can be oblique or perpendicular to a plane defined by the parallel axes of the bar (1) and rod (4).
