LASER-BASED RAILROAD SIGNAL LIGHT

A railroad light signal fixture, either for railway/highway grade crossing application or right-of-way use, includes one or more housings, each having a si gnal light aperture. There is a lens structure covering the aperture and there is a light s ource positioned within a housing opposite the lens structure. The light source includ es an array of laser diodes which provide light within a specific color spectrum as required fo r the specific application.
