<p>A display system (50, 150) for performing a multi-media work that includes image data and sound data associated with the image data. The system includes a display (70) for displaying an image derived from said image data, an audio playback system (66, 166) for combining and playing first and second audio tracks (54, 55, 154, 155), and a pointing system (65, 165) for selecting a region of the image on the display (70) in response to commands from a user of the display system (50, 150). The system also includes a playback processor (53, 63, 64, 153, 163, 164) for altering the combination of the first and second audio tracks (54, 55, 154, 155) played by the audio playback system [66, 166] in response to the pointing system (65, 165) selecting a new region. The playback processor (53, 63, 64, 153, 163, 164) also alters the display (70) such that the portion of the image selected by the pointing system (65, 165) is centered in the display (70).</p> |
