RNA transcript of human cholesteryl ester transfer protein gene

摘要

An RNA transcript of the human cholesteryl ester transfer protein (CETP) gene having a 5' untranslated region including a regulatory sequence is new. Also claimed are: (1) a method (a) for identifying substances capable of inhibiting CETP gene expression, comprising measuring the translation rate of the above transcript in the presence of a test substance; (2) a test substance capable of inhibiting CETP gene expression; (3) an antisense oligonucleotide capable of binding to the 5' untranslated region of the above transcript; and (4) a method based on surface plasmon resonance for measuring the binding of a substance to a nucleic acid.
