An under carriage (2) is guided in a straight line in a horizontal guide direction on a machine bed (1) and can be driven by a servo drive (8,9). At least four tension slide carriages (3) are guided in the guide direction in a common guide track (11) on the undercarriage and are drivable by their own individual servo drives. The tension slide carriage (3) has swivel tension arms (5) swivelling 90 degs. relative to an axis running in the guide direction and having lowering jaws which can move along and across the tension arms.
