A seal (3) between a cap (1) and an automatic gearbox pump (2) also accommodates the passages (4, 6, 9) between the two (1, 2). The cap (1) and seal (3) both also have central passages (13, 14, 15, 16) for a guide wheel shaft (5). The seal (3) consists of a central piece of sheet metal (10) with gaskets (11, 12) on each side. In addition to the central passages (13, 14, 15, 16), the sheet metal (10) and gaskets (11, 12) all have recesses (17, 18, 19, 20) one or more of which is linked to the passages (4, 6, 9) and each other. The seal (3) gaskets (11, 12) are more ductile than the pump (2) interface (2A), cap (1) and sheet metal (10) in the seal. The seal is manufactured using a press.
