A dynamic profile for use in air or water has fluid ducts through its profile to supply outlet jets (26) positioned along the trailing edge of the profile. For hydrofoil profiles liquid is pumped out of the jets and for aerodynamic profiles air is pumped out of the jets. The lips bounding the jets are shaped to generate the optimum jet profile with one of the lips extended further than the other, and with internal flow control profiling.
