An infinitely variable vehicular automatic gearbox has a multiple disk clutch (1) with a set of disks (9) on the primary shaft (7). The gear has a disk packet (15) with inner (2) and outer (3) disk. The inner disk (2) rest on inner supports (5) and the outer disk (3) on outer supports (4). The entire package (15) is held together by compression from a piston (11). The outer support (4) is basket-shaped and is positioned on the side of the piston (11) directed away from the disk set (9) and at a distance from the disk set (9). The outer disk support (4) is open on the side directed towards the piston (11), and is linked to the drive shaft by a gear teeth (14). Alternatively, the outer disk support (4) between the piston (11) and a (9) counter-disk (10).
