<p>The present invention relates to a method for generating vacuum that comprises the following steps: feeding a vaporous ejection medium into a gas ejector; pumping a gaseous ejection medium using said ejector; mixing the vaporous and gaseous media; pumping this mixture using a gas-liquid ejector; and separating the gaseous-liquid mixture thus obtained into a pressurised gas and a liquid ejection medium. This method uses as vaporous and liquid ejection media a substance or a mixture of substances that can be dissolved into each other. This pumping-ejection apparatus comprises a gas ejector, a gas-liquid ejector, a pump, a separator as well as a device for converting the liquid ejection medium into a vaporous phase. This conversion device has its inlet connected to the outlet of the pump, while its outlet is connected to the gas ejector. The supply duct has a length which represents from 0.2 to 400 times its diameter. This vacuum-generation method and the pumping-ejection apparatus of the present invention can be used for generating and maintaining vacuum at lower costs.</p> |
