The measuring device detects the wheel rotation speed, and the vehicle body speed and uses them to determine the wheel moment, in accordance with a predetermined equation based on a motion model between the vehicle body and a tyre. A calculation unit determines the braking cylinder pressure, the road surface friction, yaw acceleration and side slip angular velocity from the wheel moment.
