The device includes a sealing body (2) with a closing mechanism that extends over an axial region of the sealing body. The closing mechanism has several sealing members distributed in the axial direction and activated one after the other by a seal function controller to produce a peristaltic axial movement. The sealing members may include a contact ring which stimulates the intestinal muscles electrically at the same time as the sealing members are activated.
