Disposable nappy or incontinence pants

The disposable nappy or incontinence pants are formed from a main section (2) comprising the front, back and centre portions (8,10,12), to be advanced on a longitudinal line (4). The main section (2) is folded on a line (14) at right angles to the longitudinal line (4), so that the front (8) and rear (10) sections are over each other with their edges (16,18) flush over each other. Two fabric webs (22,24), for the belt-shaped hip sections (34), are fed along the line of the folded main section. The fabrics (22,24) are of a stretch or elasticised material, fed stretched under tension, to move over or under each folded main section. One fabric (20) is secured to the front section (8) and the other fabric (22) is fixed to the rear section (10) of the folded main section. The two fabrics (20,22) are durably bonded together across their feed line, and the movement line of the folded main section, at a gap from the main section. The fabrics are cut across their feed direction and the movement line of the folded main section, to give separated pants.
