Intermediate direct cooling of gas turbine air stream

To give a direct intermediate cooling action to the air stream of a gas turbine, during compression, wholly desalinated water is fed to the compressor at a suitable point, in a sufficient volume that it can wholly evaporate. The water is fed through stator paddles through a drillings parallel to their longitudinal axes, and lateral distribution drillings leading to the paddle surfaces.
