The test head includes a transmitting (26) and a receiving oscillator (32), which are manufactured from the same material. The oscillators are respectively equipped with electrodes (28,30,34,36), and are arranged directly one after another, especially pasted flat on each other, in sound expansion direction. An adhesive layer (48) between the oscillators is preferably as small as possible, preferably smaller than a wavelength of the oscillators.
