The present invention relates to a method for determination of cholesterol in low-density lipoprotein (LDL) or very low-density lipoprotein (VLDL) in a sample, which comprises determining the amount of cholesterol in LDL or VLDL in the sample in the presence of a sugar compound and/or a protein solubilizing agent.
