A closing device for a door or the like having a fixed frame and a key has a main lock (102) and door leaf stopping means (104) mounted on the door leaf. A driving bolt (120) of the door leaf stopping means may engage a door gap limiter mounted on the fixed frame. The main lock (102) and the door leaf stopping means (104) are coupled to each other (140, 112, 114, 198) so that the driving bolt (120) may be disengaged from the door gap limiter by the main lock (102) only when the latch (178) of the main lock (102) is actuated by a closing element.
