PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outdoor unit of an air conditioner whose heat exchange capacity is improved by extending out one side of the heat exchanger bent in generally C shape and dispasing the heat exchanger on the bottom plate, without abutting it against a connection valve. SOLUTION: An outdoor unit of an air conditioner comprises a compressor 2 which is placed at the roughly center on front side on the bottom plate and is covered with a compressor cover 2a, a heat exchanger 3 which is placed, ranging over the rear side and both sides, and is bent in generally C shape, a blower 4 which is counterposed to the rear part of this heat exchanger 3, an electric device part 6 which is attached to the tops of the side plates 3a provided on both sides of the heat exchanger 3 and accommodates electric devices, a mounting plate 5a which is erected on one side of the bottom plate 1 and has a connection valve 5 attached, and a outer barrel 8a which is fixed on the bottom plate 1, and one side of the heat exchanger 3 is cut above and below at the cutting part A, and the under one is bent from inside to make space to accommodate the connection valve 5 attached to the bottom plate 5a, and the mounting plate 5a is provided in this space. |
