PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the movable range of binding area detection processing and to exactly and speedily detect a binding part by detecting the position to separate the binding area in the image of spread page of a bookbinding original by a binding area separating means and limiting the detection range of the separating position. SOLUTION: This processor is composed of a scanner 400 as a reading means for reading the image of the bookbinding original, binding part correction processing part 409 as a shape recognizing means for recognizing the shape of the bookbinding original, binding part correction processing part 409 as a binding part separating means for separating the binding area of the bookbinding original spread page based on data read by the reading means, and binding part correction processing part 409 for correcting distortion. As the binding part area separating means, the correction processing part 409 detects the position to separate the binding area in the image spread over two pages of the bookbinding original and limits the range to detect the position to separate the binding area so that the binding part can be exactly detected by recognizing the shape of the binding part. |
