PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the image quality deterioration caused by the electrification of fine grains and hold high transfer efficiency and high image quality over a long period by feeding photoconductive fine grains onto an image carrier as fine grains, transferring a toner image to a transferred body from the image carrier, then radiating light to remove the electrification of the photoconductive fine grains. SOLUTION: Photoconductive fine grains 13 are fed to an intermediate transfer drum 5 by a fine grain feeder 12, and a toner image is transferred from a photoreceptor drum 1 based on the transfer electric field formed by the applied voltage of a primary transfer power supply 6. The full-color toner image formed on the intermediate transfer drum 5 is transferred on the recording paper 10 from the intermediate transfer drum 5 based on the transfer electric field formed by the applied voltage of a secondary transfer power supply 8. The photoconductive fine grains 13 on the intermediate transfer drum 5 are electrified to the positive polarity at nonimage sections, however partial electrifxcation is resolved when the electrified charges are released by the irradiation of a static elimination light, and the surface potential on the intermediate transfer drum 5 is uniformized. |
