PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the number of keys required for a one-action dial function by storing the facsimile telephone number of the destination and the network address of the destination registered by a one-action dial key registering means and selectively reading the facsimile telephone number and network address corresponding to the dial key when the dial key is operated. SOLUTION: When the one-action dial key is operated, corresponding to the inputted dial number, a system control part 1 reads contents registered in a one-action dial table. When data are set to only facsimile or mail, any one transmission mode is set. When data are set to the both, a guidance message to be selected by a user is displayed. When the destination and the transmission mode are determined and the user presses a start key, the facsimile number or mail address is read and the processing of transmission to that destination is started.
