PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize the device and to provide an optical head and a head device having high operational reliability. SOLUTION: A first light source 11 generates a light beam for irradiating a first optical disk and a second light source 21 generates a light beam for irradiating a second optical disk. The first and second light sources are arranged so that their light beams become oblique to each other. A beam splitter 13 introduces the light beams radiated from the first and second light sources to the same outputting direction of a forward path to the information recording surface of the disk and, to the contrary, the reflected beams on the backward path reversely traveling in the same outputting direction to the sides of light sources transmitting the beams, respectively. The splitted reflection light beams are detected by photodetectors 17, 27. |
