PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the durability of an optical reflection layer consisting of silver or an alloy essentially consisting of the silver. SOLUTION: An org. dyestuff recording layer 2 and the optical reflection layer 3 consisting of the silver or the alloy essentially consisting of the silver are successively laminated on a substrate 1 and, thereafter, the surface of the optical reflection layer 3 is treated with a compd. which contains N or contains N and S or is formed by bonding a mercapto group to a 5-membered heterocycle contg. N and O or the compd. which is substd. with one or plural groups among a hydrocarbon group, ester group, aryl group, hologram atom, hydroxyl group, alkoxyl group, amino group, nitro group, cyano group, acyl group, aldehyde group, carboxyl group, alkylthio group, arylthio group, aryloxy group, acyloxy group, thioester group,-NHR,-NRR' (R, R' are alkyl group), =S, =O. Further, a protective layer 4 is formed thereon, by which the optical recording medium is constituted. |
