<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly decide the presence or absence of a new call store band by grasping accurately the band value that is used by plural calls of different classes of service request quality. SOLUTION: When a call is generated, the priority (k) and type (j) of the call are decided by a priority/type decision function. Then an average cell occurrence rate R of contact parameters which are common to the call is decided together with the cell loss rate target value Q of the call, the call number N and the cell loss rate target value PQ. The average cell speed S of using priority class buffers is calculated by an average cell speed calculation function. Then it is decided whether the call can be stored in a band while the loop processing is carried out for the priority (k) and other lower priorities. In the loop processing mode, the cell loss target value PB, a request band (a) and a necessary band C are calculated. Finally, a connection rejection message is transmitted if a transmission line band Cp is smaller than the band C. If the band CP is larger than the band C, it is decided that the calls can be stored at all lower priorities. Thus, the processing is over and the reservation of bands are carried out by a band allocation function.</p> |
