摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric charge imparting member for electrostatic charge development excellent in shock resistance and contamination resistance to a toner and having a long service life by coating a core material with a resin contg. a specified adamantane deriv. as an essential monomer component. SOLUTION: A core material is coated with a resin contg. an adamantane deriv. represented by formula I as an essential monomer component. In the formula I, R1 is H or CH3 and A is a substituent represented by formula II, III, etc. In the formulae II, III, R2 is -COO- or -CONH- and (k) and (m) are integers of 0-20. The resin is preferably a copolymer with a radical polymerizable monomer and the core material is preferably particles for a carrier. The particles are preferably iron, magnetite or ferrite particles or particles obtd. by dispersing iron, magnetite or ferrite powder in a thermoplastic or thermosetting resin. The average particle diameter of the particles for a carrier is preferably in the range of 10-150μm.</p>
