INPUT AND OUTPUT CLIENT SERVER SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control an input/output device of the server side just via the production and change of software of the client side by sending a command to a general-purpose input/output unit together with an IP address and a port address. SOLUTION: Each of input/output units 4-0 to 4-3... is provided with a power supply 6 that is independent of an interface board I/F, slots 0 to F and a PC (personal computer). When a port address is designated at the client side via the software built into a PC 1, an IP address and the port address are designated to access a general-purpose input/output device of an optional general-purpose device in a network. Then an interface #3 of an input/output interface unit from an interface board #1 of the PC via a floating line #2. Thus, plural units #4 which are electrically independent of each other are controlled.
