摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a system for detecting a failed power facility more accurately by enhancing the accuracy of decision whether a failure has occurred in a power facility, and for protecting the power facility more accurately. SOLUTION: The system 50 for protecting a bus A 11 comprises a total deciding section 54 for making a decision based on the voltage and current information received from a PT (instrument potential transformer), and CTs (instrument current transformer) 1, 2, 4 and the information detected by a gas pressure sensor 13 and a partial discharge sensor 14 provided for the bus A 11 of a GIS(gas insulated switch) 10, and a power facility fault detecting section 53 for determining the possibility of failure of the bus A 11. When a decision is made that the possibility of failure is high, an operational signal output section 55 disconnects a failed power facility from the system such that the power interruption range of the power system is minimized based on the decision results. According to the arrangement, a failed power facility which can not be judged based only on the voltage and current information can be specified and a corresponding countermeasure or protection can be taken.
