摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small shunt circuit which is easily designed for environmental heat and capable of consuming the entire excess power of a solar cell under various circumstances on an artificial satellite or the like. SOLUTION: A solar cell power supply device is equipped with a solar cell circuit 11 which is connected to solar cell elements 17, which covert sunlight energy into electrical energy, to generate a prescribed electric power; a shunt circuit 15 which consumes a power; a power control circuit 13 which outputs control signals that correspond to, at least, a part of an excess power and enables the rest of the excess power to be consumed in the shunt circuit 15, when an electric power generate by the solar cell circuit 1 is so much larger than that consumed by a load 12 that it can afford excess supply; and a solar cell output control 16 which electrically short-circuits, at least one of the solar cell elements 17 which generate electric power according to the contorl signals, so as to reduce the electric power generated by the solar cell circuit 11.
