PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the air velocity of the diffused air, by narrowing the area of the opening of a diffuser at the time of horizontal diffusion and vertical diffusion. SOLUTION: This ceiling embedded air conditioner is provided with a lower wind direction plate 7, which has a support part 7a that forms a projection 7c on the outer periphery toward one side of both ends with the support part 7a journaled in each of both side walls 2c of a diffuser 2, in the roughly middle of the diffuser. Moreover, the air conditioner is provided with an upper wind direction plate 8, which has a support part 8a that forms a projection 8c on the outer periphery toward one side of both ends with the support part 8a journaled in each of both side walls 2c of the diffuser 2 on the same axis as the lower wind direction plate 7, so as to overlap the top surface of the lower wind direction plate 7. A spring 9 energizes both the lower wind direction plate 7 and the upper wind direction plate 8 in their overlapping direction, while an operating rod 10a, which engages with the projections 7c and 8c to be operated by a drive unit, is provided between the two projections 7c and 8c. Further, one side wall of the diffuser 2 is provided with the lower stopper 5 which regulates the rotation of the lower wind direction plate 7 in the state of horizontal diffusion, and with the upper stopper 6 which regulates the rotation of the upper wind direction plate 8 in the state of vertical diffusion. |
