The pager within the vehicle is able to receive an alarm telephone call and respond by disabling essential components of vehicle engine to stop it. The system for remotely stopping a vehicle includes an interface implanted in the vehicle and connected to a pager. The vehicle may be stopped by a simple telephone call which is transmitted to the pager which neutralises the interface, acting on an essential part of the vehicle, such the ignition coil or the petrol pump. The codes transmitted to the pager are analysed by the interface in order to authorise the stopping, or restarting of the essential vehicle circuits. |
