摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic field detecting element which has high detecting sensitivity even when the magnetic field pitch of an object to be detected becomes narrower and which can be obtained many by one operation that makes the manufacturing efficient, by arranging first and second magnetosensitive pattern sections for detecting magnetic field on different planes so the patterns sections may face oppositely each other. SOLUTION: In the magnetic field detecting element, first and second magnetosensitive pattern sections 11 and 15 are arranged on different planes so that the sections 11 and 15 may face oppositely each other. Namely, the first pattern section 11 is formed on one side face 2a of a base body 2 having two nearly parallel side faces 2a and 2b and the second pattern section 15 is formed on the other side face 2b. The pattern sections 11 and 15 are respectively formed by folding pattern lines plural times and electrode pads 8 are respectively formed at both ends of the sections 11 and 14 for impressing currents. The pattern sections 11 and 15 and the pads 8 are formed by using the same material, namely, the same magnetosensitive material. The interval D between the pattern sections 11 and 15 is adjusted to the 1/4 or 1/2 (λ/4 orλ/2) of the magnetic field pitchλof an object to be detected.
