PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To judge the abnormal heating of an electric wire at a part where the electric wire is bound and at various positions, by mixing heat sensitive pigment which is discolored by the abnormal heating of the electric wire into accessory material, or applying the pigment on the outer surface. SOLUTION: An electric-wire accessory 2, which is used in an electric wire 1 of an electric wiring path, is formed by injection molding with the material comprising synthetic resin such as nylon, has the band shape and is flexible. Therefore, the electric wire accessory 2 can be wound around the electric wire of the electric wiring path. Furthermore, heat sensitive pigment is mixed into the material of the accessory 2. The heat sensitive pigment is the reversible or irreversible heat sensitive pigment and discolored at the legal maximum allowable temperature for the abnormal heating of the electric wire 1. Therefore, e.g. when overcurrent flows through the electric wire 1, the abnormal heating is generated by the overcurrent and the heating temperature reaches about 60 deg.C or 75 deg.C, the heat sensitive pigment is discolored by the abnormal heating, and the accessory 2 itself is discolored. Therefore, the abnormal heating of the electric wire 1 can be readily judged only by observing the accessory 2. |
