PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the number of reading pulses and to enhance the reading resolution by generating a pulse train corresponding to leading and trailing edges of each pulse of the detection two-phase pulse train detected and output by a photodiode, and then outputting a specified number of pulses for one wavelength as the pulse train. SOLUTION: Four pulses per one wavelength of a light are generated in each rotating direction from a ring laser gyro detection pulse train to CW pulse train and CCW pulse train. That is, Aϕ detection pulse and Bϕ detection pulse trains output from a dual photodiode are converted into synchronized pulse trains. Rising edge pulses A↑, B↑ and falling edge pulese A↓, B↓corresponding to synchronized leading edge and trailing edge of the synchronized pulse trains Aϕ, Bϕ are used as a signal for generating the CW pulse train or CCW pulse train by executing an AND operation by an AND gate together with the synchronized pulses Aϕ, Bϕ. |
