PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL element with no current leak, long life, high luminance high efficiency, and high display quality. SOLUTION: An organic EL element has a hole injection electrode 1, an electron injection electrode, and at least one organic layer 3 arranged between these electrodes, and the organic layer 3 has a film thickness of 100 nm or more, and the mobility of electrons or holes is 0.5-5×10<-3> V.s/cm<2> , and the entrance of sputtered particles 4a from the periphery and the generation of leakage current caused by a projection 5 are prevented. |
