PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a copy whose image quality is excellent on both sides even when ambient temperature is changed by differentiating a temperature control function for correcting the surface temperature of a fixing roller in accordance with the ambient temperature copying a surface and a backside in a double-sided copying mode. SOLUTION: A roller temperature sensor 162 for detecting the temperature of the fixing roller, an ambient temperature sensor 163 for detecting the ambient temperature of the fixing device and a mode switching means 161 provided on a control panel are connected to a fixing controller 160, which controls to correct the set temperature of the surface of the fixing roller, based on the detected result by the sensor 163. The controller 160 is provided with a plurality of temperature control functions for correcting the surface temperature of the fixing roller detected by the sensor 162 in accordance with the ambient temperature and differentiate the temperature control function in copying the first side and the second side in the double-sided copying mode. Thus, fixing performance on both sides is made satisfactory in the case of double-sided copying. |
