PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the manufacture of an electrode plate assembly of a battery and the electrode plate assembly manufactured with rough manufacturing method by wrapping at least one electrode plate in the separator and folding them so as to piling up each other. SOLUTION: This manufacturing method includes a step where at least one of two electrode plates 21, 22 are wrapped in the separator 23, a step where an end part of one electrode plate is piled on an end part of the other electrode plate so that the plates 21, 22 are at right angle to each other, and a step where the one electrode plate is folded so as to be piled up on the other electrode plate. Thus, an electrode plate assembly 30 is manufactured by way of wrapping at least one of the electrode plate members in the separator 23 and folding them so as to be piled up, therefore it has an outside shape of hexahedron of rectangular parallelepiped-shape, then the volume the electrode plate members occupy within the square battery increases to a maximum. Thus, the capacity of the battery increases. And the folding method of the electrode plate members is easily manufactured as compared with that in the traditional winding method. |
