PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the duplication of a metallic master disk formed with rugged shapes without destroying this master disk by forming a resin layer on the recording surface of the master disk and forming a metallic layer on a recording surface transferred with the rugged shapes of the peeled resin layer, then peeling the metallic layer. SOLUTION: The acrylic resin layer 300 of a UV curing type is formed on a stamper 1 and the material is cured by irradiation with UV rays. Next, this resin layer 300 is peeled from the stamper 1 to form a conducting layer 301 which is a conductive film on the surface transferred with the rugged shapes. An electroforming layer 400 is formed on the surface transferred with the rugged shapes of the resin layer 300 formed with the conducting layer 301 by subjecting the surface to electrodeposition. The electrodeposition is executed by depositing a metal, such as nickel, on the surface of the conducting layer 301 by an electrolysis using the conducting layer 301 as an electrode, by which the electroforming layer 400 is formed at a thickness of about 300μm over the entire part of the surface of the conducting layer 301. This electroforming layer 400 is peeled from the resin layer 300 and the resulted electroforming layer 400 is the metallic master disk.
