PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device using a concave mirror by which a virtual image is observed with so much presence in a state where distortion is little. SOLUTION: By using the concave mirror constituted of a part of a sphere whose radius of curvature is R2, an image being a displayed object is enlarged and reflected, and the virtual image formed on an image surface is taken as a displayed picture in this display device. Assuming that the shortest distance between the set position of the image 2 of being the displayed object in the display device and the reflection surface of the concave mirror 1 isαR2, the value ofαis set within 0.20<=α<=0.43. Thus, an observer recognizes the virtual image on the image surface 6 with so much presence and strong appeal in a state where a visual field margin is sufficient and the distortion is not large.
