The magnetic bearing enables centring of a mobile component (A) without contact relative to a fixed one (B) along one main axis (Z). It consists of two magnetic circuits situated on either side of the axis, each comprising first and second ferromagnetic sections on the two components, separated by main gaps (E1,E2). The main gaps are of adjustable width in a line parallel to the main axis of the bearing, which incorporates an intermediate ferromagnetic member (23) lying perpendicular to the axis and located between main pole members (21,22). It is separated from the first ferromagnetic section (1) by a middle gap (E3), also of variable width. The bearing also has permanent magnets, magnetised in opposite directions, between the main pole members and the intermediate member. |
