PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the local optical fatigue of a photoreceptor drum and to effectively prevent the pollution on the back face of a fed paper by applying a specific voltage to a transfer roller for a specific period immediately before and immediately after the portion stuck with toner on the photosensitive drum reaches the position of the transfer roller. SOLUTION: This image forming device is controlled in two stages. In a first stage, a main motor is driven when a light scanning unit(LSU) is started, the exposed portion on a photoreceptor drum is dispersed, and the toner quantity stuck on the photoreceptor drum is minimized. In a second stage, the developed toner on the photoreceptor drum is prevented from being moved to a transfer roller. Zero volt or a negative voltage is applied to the transfer roller for the period added with a short time to the exposure time (e.g. Δt+2α) immediately before and immediately after the toner tuck at the portion exposed for the time Δt on the photoreceptor drum reaches the position of the transfer roller, and the toner on the photoreceptor drum is prevented from being moved to the transfer roller. |
