PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable simulatively the simultaneous operation test of a plurality of optional controllers by making a body controller access a memory shared with the optional controller and reading plural sheets of paper on which an optional code peculiar to the optional controller is recorded. SOLUTION: In this device, the shared memory 213 connected to the body controller 220 and the optional controller 219 is provided, and the communication of the controller 219 with the controller 220 is performed through the memory 213. A device body is switched to a test mode by an operation panel 210, and paper on which data for an operation test is recorded is read by a scanner 206 so as to write the operation test data in the memory 213. By making the controller 220 access the memory 213, the operation test with the controller 219 is performed simultaneously even when the controller 219 is not attached. |
