PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve maintenability by simply replenishing or exchanging a liquid developer visualizing an electrostatic latent image. SOLUTION: A developing device itself 51 of a liquid developing device 5 has a developing belt 56, with which plural rollers are wound, and is arranged and fixed at a prescribed position against a photosensor 1. A liquid developer unit 52 has a liquid developer tank 60, a layerthickness regulating roller 61 and a recovering blade 62, and is composed so that it can be freely put on or taken off against the developing device itself 51. When the amount of the liquid developer in the liquid developer tank 60 becomes below a specified level after repeating a picture-forming process for many hours, the liquid developer unit 52 is taken off from the developing device itself 51, and is exchanged wholly with a new liquid developer unit 52 storing a new liquid developer. |
