PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable operating sound to be reduced and a dust collecting performance to be variable over a wide range in response to various situations by a method wherein an operating state in which a freezing cycle is stopped, an electrical dust collecting machine is electrically energized and a blower is stopped and another operating state in which the blower is operated can be properly selected. SOLUTION: In the case of performing 'a fan type air cleaning operation', a blower 4 is set to be operated, an electrical dust collecting machine 8 is electrically energized and then a freezing cycle is stopped.
