The radiator members (12,1, 1.n) arranged at the ends of the heating body on the outwardly facing upper and lower naves (2.1, 2.1') and (2.n, 2.n'), as required, are provided with blind covers (3) or connecting covers. The blind cover and/or the connecting cover are/is connected with the nave of the radiator member. The blind cover and/or the connecting cover are/is joined to the naves by means of a laser welding union. They are formed as plate parts and in the area of the outer diameter have an all-round groove. The base of the groove locates on the outer surface of the nave and in the groove runs the laser welding seam.
