The frame (10) for making a self supporting roof (12) for an angled roof supports panels (38) extending towards the gutter. The frame has a forked section (14,16) and at least one cross beam in the area of the gutter (34,36) to support the panels. The forked sections match the form of the final roof assembly. The cross beams are free mounted and connected at their ends with the forked frames (14,16), so that the total load of the roof is transmitted to the building over the forked sections.
