Target detection method with radar system

摘要

The method involves selecting a measurement field of defined size, and dividing it into small fields containing a known number of radar cells with possible echo amplitudes. Small fields are marked with echo amplitudes exceeding the mean echo amplitude over the measurement field by a defined factor. All echo amplitudes from a marked field are fed directly to a target extractor which determines a first target frame. Echo amplitudes outside the frame are rotation corrected and fed to the extractor for target detection.
