Dental interface using locking pin

The dental interface is used to lock a base and a cover plate to each other. It has a single support post which is made in two parts (3,4). The guide and locking pin (8) has a screw thread only at its upper section for the locking nut (5), and the lower section has a quadrilateral shape. The lower quadrilateral end is tapped to produce a screw thread (17) for mounting in the nut (18) at the lower part of the pillar (3). The interface is shrouded with a transparent plastics tube (21), or other transparent material such as silicon rubber, and a spacer (22) is within the tube.
