The tachograph (10) has a frame (12) which accommodates a recording medium and at least one marking element for recording the vehicle related parameters. The recording medium removable from the recorder can be assigned to the driver of the vehicle or to a co-driver. The recording medium is located in a drawer (14) led laterally in the frame (12). The drawer carries the drive and when or shortly before the drawer is pulled out the drawer is swivelable downwards.
