Device to straighten pile on a fabric for operations of unravelling, cutting and/or levelling the pile (20) of a fabric (14), cooperating with means to work the pile such as unravelling (Tiger) brushes or with clipping means comprising at least abutment comb means (13) including support means (15) over which the fabric (14) passes, the abutment comb (13), at least in proximity with the support means (15), including a slit (25) to deliver fluid under pressure from below the fabric (14) arranged in direct cooperation and immediately upstream of the working means, the slit (25) being connected to means to send and regulate the fluid (27) by means of at least a conduit (26) for the passage of the fluid.
