The filling level measuring device (10) evaluates the signals from a number of thermoelements supported by a flat carrier at different heights within the fuel tank (11), with a second group of reference thermoelements used for regulation of the heating current for the thermoelements, the hot and cold connection points for both sets of thermoelements in thermal contact with a body of constant thermal conductivity.
