The atomiser component (4) is disc-shaped and the fuel feed (2) occurs by a free jet from a device which is not coincidently rotating onto the area near to the nave of the rotating surface of the atomiser component. The fuel by adhesion to the atomiser component is fed as far its break-off edge. The atomiser disc is flat or plate shaped and is made of light metal. The surface of the atomiser disc is matched by roughening or by coating by means of anodic oxidation to different operating conditions. The nave of the atomiser disc is formed as a cone, the diameter of which widens towards the disc and the fuel feed occurs via a free jet directed onto the cone.
